The Proper Officer (Clerk) and Responsible Finance Officer
Clerk, Proper Officer – Overall management of the running of the Parish Council’s business, Guides the Parish Council on policy, legal and procedural issues, Manages Parish Council staff and external contractors. Responsible for agendas and minutes for meetings of the Council. Clerk for the Finance and Admin Committee, Rights of Way Committee and Staffing Committee including preparation of reports for Council and committees.
Responsible Finance Officer – Responsible for ensuring that the Council complies with current financial legislation. Responsible for the preparation of the Budget and the Precept request. Keeps the Council’s accounts and prepares records for audit and VAT purposes.
Supports the Parish Clerk in the running of the Parish Council’s business. Responsible for the Planning Committee, Air Traffic Committee and Road Safety Committee. Production of the Parish Council Newsletter.
Day to day running of the Parish Council reception, and all general enquiries. Administrative support to the Clerk and Assistant Clerk. Administration of Volunteers events, and Community Cafes.
