There are a number of policies, procedures and documents which go together to make up the corporate governance of the Parish Council. Three of the key documents for Withyham Parish Council are its Standing Orders, Financial Regulations and Code of Conduct.
CODE OF CONDUCT | This is based upon the seven principles fundamental to public service (Selflessness, Integrity, Objectivity, Accountability, Openness, Honesty, and Leadership) and sets out a code of conduct for Members [councillors] to follow during their time of service. | Download |
FINANCIAL REGULATIONS | These regulations govern the conduct of financial management by the council and may only be amended or varied by resolution of the council. They provide procedural guidance for members and officers. | Download |
STANDING ORDERS | Standing Orders are the written rules of the council. They are essential to regulate the proceedings of a meeting. The council may also use standing orders to confirm or refer to various internal organisational and administrative arrangements. Standing Orders are not the same as the policies of a council but may refer to them. | Download |
All of the policies and procedures of the Parish Council are available to read on our Policies page.
